Description

The LYYT 90 LED Heavy Duty String Lights deliver 90 warm white LEDs across 9m of lit length (10.5m total including the 1.5m lead cable) on a black UV-resistant rubber cable. Each LED sits in a concave head spaced at 100mm intervals, providing even coverage along the full run. The string is rated IP44 for outdoor use and draws just 5W at maximum load on 220-240V mains.

Designed for garden perimeter lighting, festoon displays across pergolas and fencing, seasonal outdoor decoration and commercial event use, the string lights can be connected end-to-end up to 12 sets from a single plug socket, extending the lit run to 108m without additional power points. The heavy-duty rubber cable resists UV degradation and remains flexible in cold weather, making the lights suitable for year-round outdoor installation in UK climates.

The warm white LEDs produce a 3000K colour temperature that pairs well with traditional garden settings and warm-toned brickwork. The concave LED heads diffuse light in all directions rather than directing it in a single beam, giving consistent visibility from any viewing angle. The 900g weight of each 10.5m set makes the lights easy to handle during installation and light enough to drape over fencing or suspend from hooks without sagging excessively.

The black cable blends into dark backgrounds during daylight and becomes nearly invisible at night, keeping focus on the lit LEDs rather than the infrastructure. The 1.5m lead cable allows the first LED to sit 1.5m from the plug point, giving flexibility to position the start of the lit run away from the power socket. An optional 5m extension lead is available separately for installations where the nearest outdoor socket is further from the display area.

Can these be left outdoors all year?

Yes. The IP44 rating protects against water splashes and the UV-resistant rubber cable resists degradation from sunlight exposure. However, disconnecting the lights during severe winter weather or when not in use will extend their lifespan.

How many sets can be connected together?

Up to 12 sets can be connected end-to-end from a single plug socket, giving a maximum lit length of 108m. Each set draws 5W, so 12 sets draw 60W total, well within the capacity of a standard UK 13A socket.

What colour temperature are the LEDs?

The warm white LEDs produce a 3000K colour temperature, which gives a soft yellowish-white glow similar to traditional incandescent festoon lighting rather than the cooler blue-white of daylight LEDs.

Are the LEDs static or flashing?

Static only. The LEDs remain constantly lit when powered on, with no flash, fade or chase modes. This makes them suitable for applications where a steady light source is needed rather than a dynamic display.
