Description

This LYYT string light reel gives you 45m of lighting fitted with 1500 LEDs, spaced roughly 3cm apart along the length. It's built for indoor or sheltered outdoor use, and comes in three finishes so you can pick what suits the space: multi colour, warm white or amber. The lights themselves are IP44 rated, which means they cope with splashes and general damp, while the supplied power adaptor is IP20 rated and needs to stay under cover.

You get a remote control in the box, so there's no need to fiddle with the reel once it's up. Use it to choose one of the 8 lighting modes, set the timer, or adjust the brightness across 4 levels and change the speed. The lighting sequences run from steady on through to combination, waves, sequential, slo glo, chasing flash, slow fade and twinkle flash, so you can keep it calm or make it more active depending on the occasion.

The built-in timer works on a 6 hours on, 18 hours off cycle, which means you set it once and the lights come on at the same time each day without you needing to switch them back on. A 5m power adaptor lead gives you room to reach a socket, and the adaptor itself is rated at 31V and 12W. Whether you call them string lights or fairy lights, this is a long reel that covers a good stretch of garden, patio, marquee or room.
