Description

The LYYT 45° LED corner profile is a 2m extruded aluminium housing designed to position LED strip lighting at a precise 45-degree angle, making it suitable for corner installations, under-cabinet accent lighting and architectural features where directional light is needed. The profile has a 19 x 19mm external cross-section and an 11 x 9mm internal channel that accepts standard LED strip widths, with a clear diffuser covering the 11mm visible opening.

Designed for surface mounting on internal corners, shelf edges and cabinet bases, the profile transforms raw LED strip into a finished architectural detail by concealing the strip itself and diffusing the light through the clear cover. The 45-degree orientation directs light diagonally rather than straight down or forward, which works well for illuminating worktops from under wall units or highlighting vertical surfaces from a corner position. The profile ships with end caps and mounting clips to secure the installation.

The extruded aluminium construction acts as a heat sink for the LED strip, helping to manage operating temperatures and extend the life of the LEDs. The clear diffuser softens the individual LED points into a continuous line of light without significantly reducing light output, unlike frosted diffusers which scatter more of the lumens. The 2m length can be cut to size with a hacksaw to fit specific installation runs, and multiple profiles can be joined end-to-end for longer runs.

The 11 x 9mm internal channel accepts LED strip widths up to 10mm, which covers most standard 12V and 24V LED strip products. Measure your LED strip width before ordering to confirm fit.

Can the profile be cut to length?

Yes. The aluminium extrusion can be cut with a standard hacksaw or mitre saw to fit your installation run. Cut slowly to avoid burrs and deburr the cut edge before inserting the LED strip.

Is the LED strip included?

No. This is the profile housing only, supplied with end caps and mounting clips. LED strip, driver and cable are sold separately.

What's the difference between clear and frosted diffusers?

A clear diffuser softens the individual LED points into a continuous line while maintaining higher light output. A frosted diffuser provides more diffusion and hides the LED strip entirely, but reduces light output by approximately 15-20% compared to clear.
