Description

The LYYT 45° corner profile is a 1m length of extruded aluminium designed to house LED tape at a 45-degree angle to the mounting surface, directing light diagonally onto worktops, shelving or display surfaces. The profile measures 19x19mm externally with an 11x9mm internal channel that accepts LED tape up to 11mm wide. A clear polycarbonate diffuser clips into the front aperture, protecting the tape while allowing maximum light transmission.

Designed for under-cabinet lighting, display case illumination, cove lighting and corner detail work, the angled orientation suits applications where light needs to hit a surface at an oblique angle rather than straight down. The aluminium extrusion acts as a heat sink for the LED tape, extending the life of the LEDs by dissipating heat away from the diodes. The profile mounts directly to surfaces using screws through the aluminium body, with the snap-fit diffuser allowing access to the tape for maintenance or replacement without removing the entire profile.

The clear diffuser minimises light loss compared to frosted or opal alternatives, making this profile suited to task lighting applications where brightness matters more than softness. The aluminium body can be cut to custom lengths using a hacksaw or mitre saw, and the kit includes end caps and mounting clips. The 19mm external dimension is compact enough to fit into tight recesses or corners where larger profiles would be visible, while the 45° angle creates a natural-looking wash of light across adjacent surfaces without the hard shadows of perpendicular mounting.
