Description

The LYYT 24V high output LED strip light delivers 1246 lumens per metre at 6000K cool white colour temperature, using 120 2835 SMD LEDs per metre spaced 6mm apart on a flexible 10mm-wide tape. The strip runs on 24V DC power at 12.8W per metre, drawing 533mA per metre when the full 5m reel is powered.

Designed for indoor cabinet lighting, under-shelf task lighting, cove lighting in offices and retail displays, the strip ships on a 5m reel with self-adhesive backing and fitted 2.1mm DC plug and socket connectors. The strip can be cut every 5cm to fit the exact length needed, and the 120° beam angle provides wide, even distribution without visible LED dots when mounted 50-100mm behind a diffuser or lip.

The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments — this strip is not suitable for bathrooms, kitchens, outdoor installations or any location where it may be exposed to water or condensation. The 6000K colour temperature produces a bright, clinical cool white light that suits workspaces, retail displays and modern commercial interiors where high colour rendering and visual clarity are priorities.

The strip runs on 24V DC and draws 12.8W per metre. A full 5m reel requires a 24V power supply rated for at least 64W (5m x 12.8W). The strip is supplied with 2.1mm DC plug and socket connectors for joining sections and connecting to a compatible power supply.

Can this be used in bathrooms or outdoors?

No. The IP20 rating means this strip has no protection against moisture or water ingress. It is suitable only for dry indoor locations such as living rooms, offices, cabinets and retail displays. For bathrooms or outdoor use, choose an IP65 or IP67-rated strip.

How do you cut the strip to length?

The strip can be cut every 5cm at marked cutting points. Cutting elsewhere will damage the circuit. Once cut, solder new wires or use strip connectors to rejoin sections or connect to power.

Is the strip dimmable?

Yes, when paired with a compatible 24V DC PWM dimmer or controller. The strip itself does not include dimming hardware — you will need to add a dimmer between the power supply and the strip input.
