Description

The LYYT 24V DC LED power supply delivers 45W output (1.87A) from a fully sealed IP67-rated enclosure measuring 252 x 40 x 22mm. The unit accepts 170-250Vac mains input at 50/60Hz and converts it to regulated 24V DC for powering LED tape, strip lighting, and low-voltage LED installations up to 45W total load.

Designed for both indoor and outdoor LED installations where compact size and moisture protection are required, the IP67 rating provides full protection against dust ingress and temporary immersion up to 1m depth. The sealed housing allows the power supply to be installed in locations exposed to condensation, splashing, or damp conditions without requiring a separate IP-rated enclosure. The single output feed simplifies wiring for installations running a single continuous LED tape run or a small number of parallel branches totalling under 45W.

Built-in short circuit protection automatically shuts down the output if a fault is detected, protecting both the power supply and the connected LED installation from damage. The unit weighs 400g and the compact 252mm length allows it to be tucked into ceiling voids, behind cove lighting, or within IP-rated junction boxes where space is limited. The output regulation maintains stable 24V DC even when mains input fluctuates between 170-250Vac, preventing LED flicker or premature failure caused by voltage variation.

What length of LED tape can this power?

The 45W output supports approximately 3-4 metres of typical 24V LED tape rated at 12-14W per metre. For higher-density tape rated at 18-20W per metre, the maximum run is reduced to around 2-2.5 metres. Always check the LED tape's per-metre wattage and calculate total load before connecting.

Can it be used outdoors?

Yes. The IP67 rating provides full protection against dust and temporary immersion up to 1m depth, making it suitable for outdoor installations exposed to rain, condensation or damp conditions. The unit must still be installed where it is protected from direct sunlight and excessive heat build-up.

Is it dimmable?

The power supply itself does not support dimming. To dim 24V LED tape powered by this unit, a separate in-line 24V DC dimmer module must be installed between the power supply output and the LED tape.

Does it require ventilation?

The sealed IP67 enclosure dissipates heat through the metal casing. Avoid installing in locations where ambient temperature exceeds 40°C or where the unit is tightly enclosed without air circulation around the casing.
