Description

The LYYT 200W 24V DC power supply delivers 8.33A output through a sealed IP67-rated aluminium enclosure with dual output feeds. Designed for LED tape installations up to 200W total load, the unit accepts 170-250Vac mains input and converts to constant 24V DC across two output cables, allowing loop or split-run configurations.

Suitable for outdoor architectural lighting, shopfront window displays, under-canopy installations and commercial signage where the power supply needs protection from rain, dust or hose-down cleaning. The IP67 rating provides full dust ingress protection and submersion resistance to 1m depth for 30 minutes, making this unit viable for above-ground outdoor mounting in exposed positions. The dual output feeds allow a single power supply to serve two separate LED tape runs without needing additional junction boxes.

The ribbed aluminium enclosure measures 200 x 65 x 35mm and dissipates heat passively without fans, reducing moving-part failure in outdoor applications. Integrated short-circuit protection cuts output if the load exceeds safe operating current, preventing damage to the power supply or connected LED tape. The unit weighs 0.83kg and mounts via two keyhole slots on the base, allowing it to be fixed to walls, ceilings or recessed into shallow cavities behind cladding or signage panels.

At 200W total output and 8.33A, this will run approximately 16 metres of 12W-per-metre 24V LED tape, or 33 metres of 6W-per-metre tape. Always check the wattage per metre rating on your specific LED tape and ensure the total load does not exceed 200W or 8.33A, whichever limit is reached first.

Can this be used outdoors?

Yes. The IP67 rating provides full protection against dust ingress and temporary submersion to 1m depth. The unit can be mounted in exposed outdoor positions subject to rain, but should not be left permanently submerged or installed below ground level where water can pool around the enclosure.

What are the dual output feeds for?

The two output cables allow you to run two separate LED tape circuits from a single power supply without needing a junction box. This is useful for installations where tape runs in opposite directions from the power supply position, or where you want to split a long run to reduce voltage drop.
