Description

The LYYT 150W is a 24V DC power supply housed in a fully sealed IP67-rated aluminium enclosure, delivering up to 6.25A of continuous output current. The unit accepts 170-250Vac mains input at 50/60Hz and converts it to stable 24Vdc, suitable for driving LED tape, strip lighting and other low-voltage LED systems in outdoor or damp locations where IP67 ingress protection is required.

Built for commercial and architectural lighting installations, the power supply provides two output feeds allowing series or parallel connection of multiple LED runs from a single driver. The IP67 rating means the entire body is dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion in water up to 1m depth, making it suitable for outdoor fascia lighting, garden installations, IP-rated wet room lighting and marine applications where moisture exposure is routine.

The aluminium housing incorporates deep ribbed fins that act as passive heat dissipation, keeping internal temperatures within safe operating range without requiring forced cooling or ventilation slots that would compromise the IP rating. Short circuit protection is built into the circuit, shutting down output in the event of a wiring fault or overload and protecting both the driver and connected LED equipment. The unit measures 245 x 70 x 46mm and weighs 2.8kg, with mounting tabs at each end for secure fixing to walls, ceilings or framework.

How much LED tape can this power supply run?

At 150W total output and 24V, the unit can drive up to 6.25 metres of 24W-per-metre LED tape, or 12.5 metres of 12W-per-metre tape. Always total the wattage of all connected LED runs and ensure it does not exceed 150W to avoid overloading the driver.

Can it be used outdoors without additional protection?

Yes. The IP67 rating means the body is fully sealed against dust and protected against temporary water immersion up to 1m depth. It can be mounted outdoors in exposed locations, though the cable glands should be tightened correctly and all connections made watertight.

What are the two output feeds for?

The two feeds allow you to connect separate LED runs in parallel from the same driver, useful when lighting two sections of a room or building from a single power supply position. Both feeds share the total 150W capacity.
