Description

The Lyria is a 10cm diameter glass globe wall light with a blown and acid-etched white glass sphere diffuser mounted on a white metal base. The single G9 bulb (sold separately) sits inside the globe, casting light through the acid-etched surface to create a soft, diffused wash across walls and surrounding surfaces. The white metal base sits flush to the wall with a minimal projection of approximately 12cm.

Designed for hallways, landings, bedrooms and bathroom zones outside wet areas (IP20 rated), the Lyria provides ambient rather than task lighting. The compact 10cm diameter suits narrow corridors, alcove spaces and bedside positions where a larger fitting would dominate. The globe diffuser distributes light evenly in all directions rather than directing it upward or downward, making it useful for reducing shadows in transitional spaces like staircases and hallway corners.

The acid-etched finish on the glass gives the sphere a semi-translucent quality that softens the light output without blocking it entirely, so the G9 bulb remains visible as a subtle glow inside the globe when lit. The white metal base and white glass create a monochromatic appearance that recedes into white or light-coloured walls. Dimmable with a compatible G9 LED bulb and appropriate dimmer switch.

The IP20 rating means the Lyria is suitable for bathroom zones outside wet areas (not within 60cm of a bath or shower cubicle). It works well above mirrors in powder rooms or on walls away from direct water contact.

The 10cm globe combined with the base gives a total projection of approximately 12cm from the wall surface once installed. This compact depth suits narrow hallways and tight spaces without encroaching into circulation routes.
