Description

The Lyca is a two-light LED table lamp built around a vertical matt black metal frame that holds two opal acrylic sphere diffusers at different heights. The integrated LED driver provides 6W of 3000K warm white light distributed across both spheres, giving soft ambient illumination without glare. The 150mm square footprint on the circular base keeps the lamp compact enough for bedside tables, desks and narrow console surfaces.

Designed for bedrooms, home offices and living room side tables, the Lyca provides background light rather than task light. The two spheres at staggered heights create visual interest when viewed from the side, and the opal acrylic diffuses the LED evenly so the spheres glow as two soft orbs rather than showing visible LED points. The on/off switch sits inline on the 1090mm cable, positioned for easy reach from a bedside or desk without needing to access the lamp base.

The matt black powder-coated finish on the metal frame absorbs light rather than reflecting it, giving the lamp a low-profile presence when switched off. The frame geometry is minimal — a vertical spine with two horizontal arms holding the spheres — so the lamp reads as two floating lights rather than a sculptural object. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations, and the non-dimmable LED means the lamp operates at fixed brightness when switched on.

Frequently Asked

Is the Lyca dimmable?

No. The integrated LED operates at fixed brightness when switched on. The lamp cannot be paired with dimmer switches or smart dimmers.

What colour temperature is the LED?

The integrated LED is rated at 3000K, which gives warm white light similar to traditional halogen bulbs. This colour temperature suits bedrooms and living spaces where warmer tones are preferred over cooler daylight whites.

Can the lamp be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the lamp is designed for dry indoor locations only and is not protected against moisture. It cannot be used in bathrooms, kitchens near sinks, or any location where it might be exposed to splashes or condensation.

How tall is the lamp?

The specification table lists the base footprint but not the overall height. Based on the image, the lamp appears to be approximately 350-400mm tall from base to the top of the upper sphere, making it suitable for bedside tables and desks without overwhelming the surface.
