Description

The Luxeon single steel cable suspension kit provides a 2-metre adjustable cable for hanging pendant lights, with a black powder-coated ceiling cap and all necessary mounting hardware. The kit includes the steel cable, ceiling cap, two mounting brackets, screws, wall plugs, hex key and cable grippers visible in the product image.

Designed for residential and commercial pendant installations where the existing ceiling rose is being bypassed or where a cleaner suspended cable aesthetic is preferred over traditional chain or flex. The 2m cable length allows height adjustment during installation, with the cable grippers locking the pendant at the chosen drop. The black ceiling cap measures 100mm length by 55mm projection and conceals the ceiling fixing point.

The steel cable construction supports the weight of most single pendant fittings while maintaining a slim visual profile. The black powder-coated finish on the cap and brackets pairs with matt black, graphite and industrial-style pendant fittings. Installation requires ceiling joist or solid ceiling substrate capable of bearing the combined weight of the kit and the pendant light it will support.

What weight can the steel cable support?

The cable is designed to support typical single pendant fittings. For exact load ratings or installations involving heavier decorative pendants, refer to the manufacturer's technical specification or contact us before installation.

Does this kit include electrical wiring?

No. The kit provides the mechanical suspension system only. The electrical cable must be run separately alongside or through the steel cable depending on the pendant fitting design. A qualified electrician should complete the electrical connection.

Can the cable be shortened?

Yes. The 2m cable can be cut to length on installation using cable cutters. The cable grippers allow the pendant to be locked at any point along the remaining cable length for height adjustment.

What ceiling type is required?

The kit requires fixing into a ceiling joist or solid substrate capable of bearing the weight. Plasterboard-only ceilings need additional reinforcement or cavity fixings rated for the combined load.
