Lux 1 Light Flush Ceiling Light - Polished Chrome

The Lux is a flush ceiling light built around a single sculpted glass shade held within a triangular polished chrome frame. The shade itself is moulded with irregular contours and surface texture, combining frosted and clear zones that catch and diffuse light from a single G9 bulb (sold separately). The chrome frame projects approximately 230mm from the ceiling, with a footprint of 190mm wide by 160mm deep.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where a pendant would hang too low, the Lux works in compact hallways, small bedrooms, en-suites, cloakrooms and reading corners. The flush mount fixes directly to a standard UK ceiling rose, with the cable concealed within the chrome canopy. The G9 fitting accepts capsule bulbs up to the wattage stated on the product label, giving flexibility to choose LED or halogen depending on the required brightness and colour temperature.

The polished chrome finish provides high reflectivity and pairs cleanly with modern bathroom fittings, contemporary kitchen hardware and minimalist bedroom furniture. The sculptural glass shade introduces organic texture that softens the geometric precision of the triangular frame, preventing the fitting from reading as purely industrial. At 0.65kg the light is lightweight enough to mount on plasterboard ceilings with appropriate fixings.

Is the Lux dimmable?

Yes, provided you fit a dimmable G9 bulb and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself is dimmer-ready but requires a dimmable bulb to function on a dimmed circuit.

What bulb does it take?

The Lux takes a single G9 capsule bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit a 3-5W LED G9 in warm white (2700K-3000K) for ambient lighting in small spaces.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

The specification table does not list an IP rating, so the Lux is not certified for bathroom zones requiring splash or moisture protection. It can be used in bathrooms outside the designated zones, or in well-ventilated spaces where moisture is minimal.

Can it be fitted on a sloped ceiling?

The flush mount is designed for flat ceilings. Fitting on a sloped ceiling would require a custom bracket or junction box angled to bring the mounting surface level, which is not included with the light.
