Description
The Lunavere is a wall-mounted sphere light built from a 150mm natural Spanish alabaster ball seated on a circular solid brass backplate. A single G9 lamp sits inside the alabaster sphere, lighting the stone from within so the shade itself becomes the diffuser. The brass takes a warm satin finish that picks up the cream and grey tones running through the alabaster.
Designed for use in pairs flanking a bed, mirror or doorway, or as a single fitting in hallways, ensuites, dressing rooms and stairwell landings, the Lunavere projects roughly 220mm from the wall and reads as a small, sculptural fixture rather than a dominant light source. The G9 socket accepts standard mains-voltage capsule lamps, giving flexibility on brightness and colour temperature once installed. A soft warm-white capsule around 2700K suits the alabaster best.
Each alabaster sphere is cut from a single piece of stone, so the mineral veining, cloudy patches and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. The pattern only fully appears when the lamp is on, with darker mineral lines reading against the glowing field of the stone. The brass backplate is approximately 130mm in diameter and is fixed with two visible screws at top and bottom, giving an honest mechanical detail that suits both contemporary and more traditional schemes.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Lunavere take?
The fitting takes a single G9 capsule lamp (sold separately). A warm-white LED G9 around 2700K-3000K is recommended, as cooler temperatures wash out the natural cream tone of the alabaster.
Is it suitable for bathrooms?
No IP rating is supplied with this fitting, so it should be installed only outside bathroom zones. For wall lighting near a basin, mirror or bath, please choose a fitting with a stated IP44 rating or higher.
Does each piece look the same?
No. Each alabaster sphere is cut from natural stone, so veining, cloudy patches and tonal depth vary between individual pieces. The pattern is part of the material and is most visible when the lamp is on.
How much does it project from the wall?
The fitting projects approximately 220mm from the wall, made up of the brass backplate, a short stem, and the 150mm alabaster sphere. This makes it well suited to corridors and bedrooms where deeper traditional wall lights would feel oversized.
