Description

The Luna is a 130mm frosted glass globe pendant designed for magnetic track lighting systems, with an integrated 5W LED running at 4000K (neutral white). The pendant attaches to a matt black magnetic track rail via a suspended cable that adjusts between 130mm and 1130mm in length, allowing the globe to be positioned at different heights depending on ceiling clearance and intended use.

Designed for kitchens, home offices, retail spaces and hospitality installations using magnetic track infrastructure, the Luna provides task-level illumination with a diffused output. The frosted glass globe softens the LED point source, reducing glare when the pendant is positioned above a worktop or desk. The magnetic track system allows the pendant to be slid along the rail to reposition light without re-wiring, and multiple Luna pendants can be combined on the same track to create directional task lighting over islands or counters.

The track rail runs on 48V DC, supplied by a driver typically mounted remotely in a ceiling void or nearby cupboard (not included with the pendant). The magnetic attachment point provides both electrical connection and mechanical fixing, so the pendant can be removed or repositioned by hand once the track is powered off. The matt black finish on both the track rail and the pendant cable gives a consistent appearance when multiple fixtures are combined on the same run.

The 5W LED output at 4000K sits in the neutral-white range, which renders colours more naturally than warm white in task-oriented applications like food preparation, technical work and product displays. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations — the Luna cannot be fitted in bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor canopies.

What track system does the Luna work with?

The Luna works with Maytoni's magnetic track lighting systems running at 48V DC. The pendant will not fit standard mains-voltage track systems or surface-mounted ceiling roses. The track rail and power driver are sold separately.

Can the pendant height be adjusted after installation?

Yes. The suspension cable is adjustable between 130mm and 1130mm, allowing the globe to be set at the required height during installation. Once set, the height remains fixed unless the cable is manually adjusted.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 5W LED is integrated into the pendant and is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for approximately 25,000 hours of operation, which equates to around 10 years at typical residential usage levels.

Can multiple Luna pendants be fitted to the same track?

Yes. Multiple pendants can be attached to the same magnetic track rail, subject to the maximum load rating of the track driver. Each Luna draws 5W, so a typical 100W driver could support up to 20 pendants on a single run.
