Lumina 3 Light Fluted Glass Cluster Pendant Light - Clear

The Lumina is a cluster of three fluted clear glass shades hung at three heights from one round brass ceiling plate. Each shade is a tall tapering dome, ribbed from the brass lampholder down to an open rim, and the ribs run the full height so the glass reads as a set of vertical lines rather than a smooth curve. The three drop on rust coloured braided flexes, which are left on show against the brass.

A single ceiling point carries all three, so it goes where one fitting already hangs: over a dining table, an island, or a hall where the staggered heights are read from below. The shades are clear and open at the rim, so the bulb is visible and its shape is part of what is seen. It takes three E27 bulbs up to 60W each and it is dimmable. At 4.23kg the fixing wants to be into a joist or a mount rated for the weight.

The glass is recycled and mould blown, which leaves the fluting slightly irregular and the wall thickness varying between shades. The plate, the lampholders and the flex fittings are brass. It is rated IP20, for dry indoor rooms. Bulbs are not included.

Will it fit a narrow hallway?

Yes. At 15cm across it takes up less width than most single pendants, and that's mainly why you'd choose it.

Is it bright enough for a kitchen?

Yes. Three bulbs give it the output of a much larger fitting, so it works over a table or a work area as well as in a hallway.

Why are the cables rust coloured?

They're a warm note against the clear glass. The cable is part of the look here, so it isn't meant to disappear.

Will the three shades match?

Closely, though each is blown individually, so the flutes and the thickness vary a little between them.
