Description

The LumiLife large spotlight fitting is a recessed GU10 downlight with an 85mm ceiling cut-out, a polished chrome bezel and a quick-connect terminal block that simplifies installation. The fitting accepts a single GU10 lamp (sold separately) up to 20W and tilts 30° in one direction, allowing the light to be angled towards a feature wall, artwork or work surface rather than pointing straight down.

Designed for residential ceilings, home offices and retail fit-outs, the fitting carries Part B (fire safety), Part C (moisture resistance) and Part E (sound resistance) compliance for use in standard domestic ceilings. The IP20 rating confines use to dry indoor areas (Zone 3 only in bathrooms — away from direct water contact). The quick-connect terminal block accepts mains cable without the need for separate connectors, shortening installation time across multi-fitting projects.

The polished chrome bezel provides a reflective finish that pairs with modern and contemporary interiors. The 85mm cut-out is larger than standard 60-70mm downlight openings, so this fitting suits ceilings where a larger aperture or more pronounced bezel is preferred. The GU10 lampholder is compatible with all standard GU10 LED, halogen and energy-saving lamps, and the fitting supports dimming when paired with a dimmable GU10 bulb and compatible dimmer switch.

What is the cut-out size for ceiling installation?

The fitting requires an 85mm diameter hole in the ceiling. This is larger than standard 60-70mm downlight cut-outs, so it suits ceilings where a larger aperture or more pronounced bezel is preferred.

Does the fitting come with a bulb?

No. The fitting accepts a standard GU10 lamp up to 20W (sold separately). It is compatible with LED, halogen and energy-saving GU10 bulbs.

Is it dimmable?

The fitting itself supports dimming when paired with a dimmable GU10 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. Non-dimmable GU10 bulbs will not dim even when installed in this fitting.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating and Zone 3 designation allow use in bathrooms only in areas away from direct water contact — typically more than 60cm outside the shower or bath zone. It is not suitable for use directly above a bath or inside a shower enclosure.
