36W 600x600 LED Backlit Panel - 4000K Cool White

This is a 36W backlit LED panel made for the standard 600 x 600 ceiling module. The dimension drawing gives the panel itself as 595mm square and 27mm deep, and those few millimetres under the nominal figure are the point: it is the clearance that lets the panel sit down into a 600mm grid in place of a ceiling tile. Backlit describes how the light is made. The LED array sits across the back of the panel and fires forward through the diffuser, rather than sitting along the edges and being bounced across a light guide. The supplier specification gives 3800 lumens at 4000K with a 112 degree beam.

That output suits general lighting in a working room rather than accent or mood lighting. A 112 degree spread is wide, so the light lands broadly and evenly instead of falling in pools, which is what you want over desks, benches, counters and walkways. 4000K is a neutral white, cooler and crisper than the 2700K most people put in a living room, and it holds detail and colour well for reading, screen work and anything fiddly. The rating here is IP20, which offers no protection against water at all, so keep these to dry indoor ceilings and away from anywhere they could be splashed or run with condensation.
