Description
The Lumara is a compact wall light built around a single cylinder of natural Spanish alabaster, held top and bottom by brushed brass collars and supported on a brushed brass arm with a rounded oval backplate. The alabaster tube measures 360mm tall on an 110mm wide fitting, with a 140mm projection from the wall. A single E14 lamp (sold separately) sits inside the cylinder, turning the stone itself into the diffuser when lit.
Designed for hallways, bedrooms, lounges and stairwells where a slim vertical fitting suits the wall space, the Lumara works well in pairs flanking a mirror, headboard or fireplace, or as a sequence along a corridor. The 140mm projection keeps the fitting close enough to the wall to avoid catching shoulders in narrower passages, and the cylindrical shade directs light both up and down the wall surface.
The shade is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so each piece shows different mineral veining, grey-white tonal variation and subtle translucency. The solid copper frame is finished in a warm brushed brass with a soft satin sheen rather than a high polish, which softens reflections and pairs comfortably with both warm-toned interiors and cooler greys. The combination of stone and brass gives the fitting a substantial, sculptural presence at a small footprint.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Lumara take?
The fitting takes a single E14 (small Edison screw) lamp, sold separately. A warm white LED candle bulb between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K pairs well with the alabaster, since the stone itself does the diffusing and a frosted bulb is not required.
Is it suitable for use in a bathroom?
The Lumara does not carry a published IP rating, so it is intended for general indoor use rather than bathroom zones. For bathroom installation, choose a fitting with a confirmed IP44 or higher rating appropriate to the zone.
Does the alabaster vary between pieces?
Yes. Each cylinder is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, grey-white tonal variation and translucency differ between individual pieces. This is a feature of the natural stone and means no two Lumara wall lights look identical when lit.
How is the alabaster cleaned?
Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners on the shade or the brushed brass frame.
