Description
Choose the cover only, or the cover with a fibre or feather inner.
The Lulah cushion is a 45 x 45cm square in a blend of 85% polyester and 15% linen, printed with a small repeating block floral in blue on a natural, oatmeal ground. The motif is a stylised leaf-and-bud shape set out in neat rows, the sort of pattern that reads as busy up close and as gentle texture from across the room. A gathered ruffle runs the full way round the edge, in the same printed cloth, which gives the cushion its softer, cottage-style outline rather than a crisp knife edge.
This is a working scatter cushion for a sofa, a reading chair or the head of a bed. The blue-on-natural palette sits happily with plain linen upholstery, painted wood and warm neutral walls, and it mixes well with other small prints and checks if you like to layer. At 45 x 45cm it is a standard square, so a spare cover or an off-the-shelf pad in the same size will fit it, and it holds its shape well against the arm of a chair without swamping a smaller seat. The reverse, is a plain natural cloth, so the cushion can be turned to show either the print or a quieter face.
A zip closure is set into the cover, so the pad slips in and out easily for cleaning and the cover can be lifted off on its own. The ruffle is worth handling gently so the gathers stay even. If you like the look, it works well grouped in odd numbers or paired with a larger plain cushion behind it.

Frequently Asked
Is a filling pad included or just the cover?
You can choose the cover only, or the cover with a fibre or feather inner.
What size pad does it take?
The cover measures 45 x 45cm, a standard square, so a widely available 45cm pad will fit if you ever need a replacement.
What is the fabric made of?
It is 85% polyester and 15% linen. The polyester gives durability and colour hold, while the linen content adds the natural, slightly slubby texture you can see close up.
Does the cover come off?
Yes, there is a zip closure set into the cover, so it lifts off the pad on its own for easier handling and cleaning.
How should I look after the ruffle?
Handle the gathered edge gently so the ruffle stays even and full. It is the detail that gives the cushion its softer, cottage-style outline.
Where does this cushion suit best?
It works as a scatter cushion on a sofa, an armchair or a bed, and mixes well with plain linen, painted wood and other small prints or checks.
