Description
Lucka Outdoor Black XL is a full length mirror built for outside, 175cm high by 80cm wide and 2cm deep. The silvering is treated against rain, sun and wind, and the frame is a slim black metal band round the edge of the glass, sitting flush with it. At this size on a garden wall it stops being a mirror and starts being an opening: a second garden behind the first one.
It leans as readily as it hangs, which is worth knowing for a courtyard where drilling into old brick is not wanted. Hung, it takes two hooks with wall plugs and an outdoor suspension, fixed into masonry rather than plasterboard, because an outdoor mirror this size carries real wind load. It hangs in two directions. At 16kg it is a two person lift outdoors, where footing is less certain than on a landing. It is rated bathroom proof as well. Set it back from a path, since a full length mirror at ground level reads as somewhere you can walk.
The glass is outdoor treated mirrored glass in a black metal frame with an outdoor suspension, and nothing needs assembling. Rinse it with clean water and dry it with a soft cloth rather than scrubbing grit across the surface. The warranty is two years rather than the seven the indoor range carries, which is what weather does to any mirror over time. A smaller rectangle and a narrow hall size are made in the same treated glass and frame, so a run of two or three along one wall is possible. Made in Belgium.

Frequently Asked
Can it lean instead of hanging?
Yes, and it is photographed that way. Leaning avoids drilling into old brick, though a full length mirror wants a stable footing.
Can it really stay outside all year?
Yes. The silvering is treated for outdoor use and the suspension is specified for it.
How is it fixed if I hang it?
Two hooks with wall plugs and an outdoor suspension, into masonry rather than plasterboard. At this size the wind load is real.
How long is the warranty?
Two years, rather than the seven the indoor mirrors carry.
What size is it and what does it weigh?
80cm wide by 175cm high and 2cm deep, weighing 16kg.
