Lucka Outdoor Black Rect. is a wall mirror built for outside, 120cm high by 80cm wide and 2cm deep. The silvering is treated so rain, sun and wind do not lift it, and the frame is a slim black metal band round the edge of the glass, sitting flush with it. On a garden wall a mirror works the way a window does: it opens a corner and carries light into a place that had none.

It suits a terrace, a courtyard or a boundary wall, and the 120cm height sits comfortably above planting rather than running to the ground. It hangs in two directions. Two hooks with wall plugs are supplied and the suspension is specified for outdoor use, which matters more here than indoors: an outdoor mirror carries wind load and the fixing has to hold in masonry rather than plasterboard. At 11kg it is a one person lift. It is rated bathroom proof as well, so a wet room indoors is within its range. Keep it clear of a spot where it will throw concentrated sun onto planting for long stretches.

The glass is outdoor treated mirrored glass in a black metal frame with an outdoor suspension, and nothing needs assembling. Rinse it with clean water and dry it with a soft cloth rather than scrubbing grit across the surface. The warranty is two years rather than the seven the indoor range carries, which reflects what weather does to any mirror over time. A wider full length size is made in the same treated glass and frame. Made in Belgium.
