Description
Lucka Outdoor Black Hall is a full length mirror built for outside, 175cm high by 40cm wide and 2cm deep. The silvering is treated so that rain, sun and wind do not lift it, and the frame is a slim satin black metal band running round the edge of the glass. On a garden wall it works the way a window does, opening up a corner and carrying light into a space that had none.
It suits a terrace, a courtyard, a garden wall or the end of a narrow side return where the eye needs somewhere to go. It hangs in two directions, so the length can run upright or along. Two hooks with wall plugs are supplied and the suspension system is specified for outdoor use, which matters more here than indoors: an outdoor mirror carries wind load, and the fixing has to hold in masonry rather than plasterboard. At 9kg it is a one person lift. It is also rated bathroom proof, so a wet room indoors is within its range. Position it where it will not throw concentrated sunlight onto planting or seating for long stretches, and remember that a mirror at ground level reads as an opening, so keep it clear of paths where that could mislead.
The glass is outdoor treated mirrored glass in a satin black metal frame, and nothing needs assembling. Rinse it with clean water and dry it with a soft cloth rather than scrubbing grit across the surface. The frame is narrow enough that from a few paces the mirror reads as an opening in the wall rather than as an object fixed to it. Two year warranty, made in Belgium.

Frequently Asked
Can it really stay outside all year?
Yes. The silvering is treated for outdoor use and the frame is metal, so rain, sun and wind are not a problem.
What is the frame made of?
A slim band of satin black metal around the edge of the glass.
How is it fixed?
Two hooks with wall plugs are supplied, and the suspension is specified for outdoor use. Fix into masonry rather than plasterboard.
How long is the warranty?
Two years, which is shorter than the seven years on the indoor mirrors because of the conditions it is built for.
What size is it and what does it weigh?
40cm wide by 175cm high, weighing 9kg.
