Lucka Gold Framed Full Length Mirror 175cm

Lucka Gold XL is a full length wall mirror, 175cm high by 80cm wide and only 2cm deep, in a slim gold metal frame with the glass flush to its front face. The glass here is clear rather than tinted, so the gold does all the warming and the reflection itself stays true. It is the frame that carries the piece: a fine line of gold round a large plain pane.

At 175cm by 80cm it reflects a standing adult head to foot with room either side, which suits a bedroom, a dressing area or a hallway. It hangs in two directions, so it can run upright or lie along a wall above low furniture. It is rated bathroom proof. At 16kg it is a two person lift onto fixings that reach something solid, with two screws, washers and plugs supplied and nothing to assemble. The same frame and size are made in black with bronze tinted glass, which is a much quieter piece than this one.

The mirror is clear mirrored glass in a gold metal frame. Clean it with cleaner sprayed onto a soft cloth rather than onto the glass, and dry the frame rather than leaving water standing on it. Because the frame is flush with the glass rather than holding it in a channel, the gold reads as a drawn line at a distance and almost disappears close up. Gold against a warm wall reads as part of the room and against a cool grey one as a deliberate contrast, so it is worth holding the frame up to the wall before the fixings go in. Is the glass tinted?

No. This version has clear mirrored glass, so the gold frame does the warming and the reflection stays true.

Is the glass recessed inside the frame?

No. The frame is a flat band and the glass sits flush with its front face.
