Description

The Lucia is a 171mm diameter mini pendant light built around a cylindrical metal frame in burnished silver, filled with sunflower-shaped Bauhinia crystals arranged in an overlapping lattice pattern. A single E27 bulb sits inside the cylinder (sold separately), casting light through the crystal layer and a frosted glass diffuser at the base. The burnished silver finish sits between polished and antique, showing gentle tonal variation across the metalwork.

Designed for hallways, kitchen islands, bathroom task lighting and entrance areas, the Lucia works as a single pendant or in multiples over a counter or stairwell. The 505mm minimum drop suits standard 2.4m ceiling heights with 400-500mm clearance above a worktop or console table, while the cable extends to 1555mm for higher ceilings or above-stairwell installations. The pendant weighs approximately 1.2kg and fits a standard UK ceiling rose.

The sunflower-shaped Bauhinia crystals are faceted glass elements that refract and scatter light when the bulb is on, creating highlights across walls and ceilings. What bulb does it take?

The Lucia takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K to bring out the crystal refraction without overpowering smaller spaces.

Is the drop adjustable?

Yes, the drop is adjustable between 505mm and 1555mm on installation. The cable and chain are trimmed to the desired length during fitting and cannot be adjusted afterwards without re-wiring.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The Lucia carries no IP rating and is not certified for bathroom zones. It can be used in bathrooms outside the defined zones (typically more than 600mm from a bath or shower enclosure) where no water splash is expected.

How are the crystals cleaned?

Switch off the power at the mains. Wipe the crystals gently with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For fingerprints or marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but avoid soaking the metal frame or getting moisture into the bulb socket.
