Description

The Diyas Love is a 6-light wall or ceiling fitting with sculptural glass arms radiating from a polished chrome central hub. Each of the six arms is a hollow glass tube filled with glossy white resin, creating opal and clear glass contrast. The arms are hand-formed, so each one has slightly different shaping and texture, giving the fitting an organic quality rather than machine-precise symmetry.

The Love is designed to mount either on a wall or directly to a ceiling, making it suitable for hallways, dining rooms and living rooms where conventional ceiling rose wiring exists. When ceiling-mounted the 320mm projection brings the fitting down into the room space without requiring the drop clearance of a pendant. When wall-mounted it acts as a sculptural sconce, directing light both forward and outward from the wall plane. Each of the six arms houses a G4 bulb socket at its tip (bulbs sold separately).

The 450mm diameter makes the Love a substantial fitting without overwhelming rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The polished chrome finish on the central hub and mounting plate reflects light back through the glass, amplifying the effect of the six G4 bulbs. The opal white resin inside each glass tube diffuses light along the length of the arm rather than allowing it to escape as focused beams, creating ambient glow rather than directed spotlighting.

The Love is dimmable when paired with G4 halogen bulbs and a trailing-edge dimmer. G4 LED compatibility depends on the specific LED bulb model — most modern G4 LEDs work with trailing-edge dimmers, but older or budget LEDs may flicker or refuse to dim below 20%. The fitting weighs 2.5kg when fully assembled, requiring secure fixing to either a ceiling joist or wall stud rather than plasterboard alone.
