Lori 4 Light Clear Wine Glass Pendant Light 80mm - Satin Nickel

A slim satin nickel bar carries four clear glass shades in a wine-glass shape, each tapering from a narrow neck out to an open bowl. At roughly 1.2m long, the bar spreads light along a line rather than gathering it in one spot, and because the glass is clear the lamp you fit stays part of the look. Each holder takes an E27 lamp of up to 20W, so the character of the light is yours to choose.

We would hang this over a kitchen island or along the length of a dining table, where one round pendant tends to leave the ends of the surface dim. The drop of the shades is adjustable, so heights can be set once the furniture below is in place, whether you want them dead level or gently staggered. It suits open-plan kitchens, long farmhouse tables and narrow galley runs with enough ceiling to carry the span. Dimming is possible if you pair dimmable lamps with a compatible dimmer, neither of which comes with the fitting, and the fitting requires an earth connection.

The bar, stems and shade collars share the same satin nickel finish, a soft grey sheen that stays quieter than polished metal and hides fingerprints better. Clear glass does ask for the occasional wipe: turn the power off at the wall, give everything time to cool, then run a dry lint-free cloth over the outside of each shade and along the top of the bar, where dust settles first. It carries a one year warranty. Keep it to dry indoor rooms, away from shower spray and steam. How far down does it hang?

The drop is adjustable from 270mm at its shortest to 2270mm at its longest, so it can sit tight to a low ceiling or reach well down over a table.

What lamps do I need, and how many?

Four E27 lamps, each rated no higher than 20W. LED is the sensible choice with clear glass. Lamps are not supplied.

Can it be dimmed?

Yes, provided you fit dimmable lamps and a suitable dimmer. No dimmer is included with the fitting.

How long is the bar, and how wide are the shades?

The bar measures 1200mm end to end and each clear shade is 80mm across, which keeps the run visually light over an island or table.

Is it suitable for a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, which is for dry indoor rooms only, so a kitchen, dining room or hallway rather than a bathroom zone.

How should I clean the glass?

Switch off at the wall and let the lamps cool, then use a dry lint-free cloth on the outside of each shade. Avoid sprays and abrasive cleaners on the satin nickel.
