Description

The Look is a square-section metal tube fixed overhead that throws its light down from the open lower end. A single GU10 spot lamp sits within the body, so the beam lands as a defined pool underneath while the squared brass barrel reads as a clean geometric drop from the ceiling. Unlit, it holds a spare angular shape.

The tube is 60mm across the face and hangs 200mm below the ceiling, a step down from the shortest square Look size, so it brings the source a little lower over a console, a hallway or a spot where the flush version would sit too tight. The square edge keeps a sharper line than the round profile. Because it runs on a GU10, the beam width, brightness and colour follow the lamp you fit.

The body is powder-coated metal in brass, rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms and made to Class II. It stays fixed rather than tilting, holding a single downward axis, and works on plain on-off switching. We include a GU10 lamp, ready to wire.

What kind of light does it give?

A directed downward spot. The square tube holds one GU10 lamp, so the pool below follows the bulb fitted, from a narrow warm beam to a wider spread, picking out a spot rather than filling the room.

Does it take a bulb or is the LED built in?

It takes a replaceable GU10 spot lamp, up to 28W, and one comes with it. You choose the beam and colour temperature to suit, and can swap the lamp later without changing the fitting.

Can the ceiling light be dimmed?

The fitting itself is on-off, so dimming relies on a dimmable GU10 lamp paired with a compatible wall control. We can point you to a suitable lamp and circuit before you order.

How big is it and where does it suit?

The square body is 60mm across and drops 200mm below the ceiling, a mid-short reach in the square Look range. That suits a console, a hallway or a landing where the light needs bringing down a touch.
