Description

The Look is a short metal cylinder fixed flush overhead that lights downward from its open lower end. It takes a single GU10 spot lamp set inside the tube, so the beam falls as a contained pool below while the body itself reads as a clean black barrel against the ceiling. Off, it holds a neat, low form rather than a broad fitting.

The tube is 60mm across and drops 100mm below the ceiling, the shortest reach in this round Look family, so it sits close to the surface and suits a hallway, a landing or a spot over a console where a low, directed point of light helps. Because it takes a GU10, the exact brightness, beam and colour follow the lamp you choose, from a warm narrow spot to a wider cooler one.

The body is powder-coated metal in matt black, rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms and built to Class II. It is fixed rather than adjustable, holding a set downward line, and runs on plain on-off switching. We supply it with a GU10 lamp included, ready to wire.

What kind of light does it give?

A directed downward spot. The tube takes a single GU10 lamp, so the pool it casts below depends on the bulb fitted, from a tight warm beam to a broader one, marking out a spot rather than washing the room.

Does it take a bulb or is the LED built in?

It takes a replaceable GU10 spot lamp, up to 28W, and one is included. That means you can pick the beam and colour temperature to suit, and swap the lamp later rather than replacing the fitting.

Can the ceiling light be dimmed?

The fitting itself is on-off, so dimming depends on using a dimmable GU10 lamp with a compatible dimmer switch. We can advise on a suitable lamp and circuit before you order.

How big is it and where does it suit?

The cylinder is 60mm across and drops 100mm below the ceiling, the shortest in the round Look range. That compact reach works in a hallway, on a landing or over a console, on its own or repeated in a line.
