Description

The Look is a narrow metal cylinder fixed straight overhead that lights downward from its open lower end. It takes a single GU10 spot lamp seated inside the tube, so the beam falls as a contained pool beneath while the body reads as a clean brass barrel against the ceiling. Off, it holds a slim vertical line rather than a broad fitting.

This one is 60mm across and drops 400mm below the ceiling, a longer reach than the short flush versions in the round Look family, so it hangs a point of light lower over a worktop, a reading chair or a hallway console. Because it takes a GU10, the brightness, beam width and colour temperature follow the lamp you fit, from a tight warm spot to a wider cooler one.

The body is powder-coated metal in brass, rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms and built to Class II. It is fixed rather than adjustable, holding a set downward line, and runs on plain on-off switching. We supply it with a GU10 lamp included, ready to wire.

What kind of light does it give?

A directed downward spot. The tube takes a single GU10 lamp, so the pool it casts below depends on the bulb fitted, from a tight warm beam to a broader one, marking out a spot rather than washing the whole room.

Does it take a bulb or is the LED built in?

It takes a replaceable GU10 spot lamp up to 28W, and one is included. That lets you pick the beam and colour temperature to suit, and swap the lamp later rather than replacing the fitting.

Can the ceiling light be dimmed?

The fitting itself is on-off, so dimming depends on fitting a dimmable GU10 lamp with a compatible dimmer switch. We can advise on a suitable lamp and circuit before you order.

How far does it drop and where does it suit?

The cylinder is 60mm across and hangs 400mm below the ceiling, a mid drop in the round Look range. That reach works over a worktop, a console or a reading chair, on its own or repeated in a row.
