Description

The Lirosa is a flush ceiling light with a wide, flared shade of clear railway ribbed glass, its fine ribs catching the light from a single bulb. The shade sits on a short stem beneath a round ceiling plate, keeping the whole fitting close to the ceiling at 22cm tall and 40cm across. It is made of brass and glass, and it comes in Polished Copper, Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Polished Brass, Polished Chrome, Satin Brass or Satin Chrome. It takes one E27 bulb of up to 40W, and bulbs are sold separately, so the choice of bulb is yours.

Because it sits close to the ceiling rather than hanging on a long drop, the Lirosa suits a hallway. It gives a broad, welcoming light as you come through the front door without crowding the space overhead. The ribbed glass has the look of old railway and workshop lighting and is at home in a period house, while finishes such as Polished Chrome and Satin Chrome sit just as comfortably in a more modern scheme. It is an indoor fitting rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. As a mains fitting, it is for a qualified electrician to wire in.

The ceiling plate and stem are brass, finished in the colour you choose, and the shade is glass throughout. It is a Class I fitting. Every light is made to order for you in Ireland, and the maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase. Bulbs are not covered.
