Description
The Lirone is a 500mm vertical capsule wall light built around a single rounded column of natural Spanish alabaster, held against the wall by two slim polished brass bands that wrap horizontally across the centre of the stone. Twin G9 lamps sit behind the alabaster, one upper and one lower, casting warm light through the full length of the capsule.
At 500mm tall, 103mm wide and projecting just 60mm from the wall, the Lirone suits hallways, stairwells, bedside positions and bathroom approaches where a tall, narrow light is needed without significant projection into the room. Mounted in pairs, it works well flanking a mirror, headboard or doorway. The compact projection means it sits flat enough to pass alongside circulation routes without catching shoulders or doors.
The alabaster shows soft mineral veining and tonal variation across each piece, with amber and cream layers that become more visible when the lamps are lit. The polished brass bands give a warm metallic counterpoint to the pale stone and visually anchor the capsule at its midpoint, defining the fitting's vertical proportion. Edges of the alabaster are finished with a smooth radius where the stone meets the brass, keeping the transition between materials clean.
Because alabaster is a natural material, no two Lirone wall lights are identical. The pattern of veining, the depth of translucency and the warmth of the glow vary from piece to piece depending on the section of stone each capsule was cut from.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Lirone take?
The fitting takes two G9 capsule lamps, one positioned in the upper half of the alabaster and one in the lower half. Bulbs are sold separately. A warm-white G9 LED at around 2700K-3000K pairs well with the natural amber tones in the stone.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
Niori does not list an IP rating for the Lirone, so it should be treated as an indoor wall light for use outside bathroom IP zones. It can be installed on a landing, hallway or bedroom wall adjacent to a bathroom but not within zones 1 or 2.
Does each piece look the same?
No. Each capsule is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, mineral pattern, translucency and warmth of the glow differ between individual pieces. This is a feature of the material rather than a defect.
How is the alabaster cleaned?
Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Alabaster is porous and softer than marble, so avoid water, household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners. For stubborn marks a barely-damp cloth with distilled water can be used briefly, then dried immediately.
