Description

The Knightsbridge UC500 is a 50cm link power cord designed to connect two LED under-cabinet fittings where a short cable run is needed between units. The white twin-core cable is rated for 230V 50Hz mains power and terminates in moulded white connectors at each end that clip directly into compatible Knightsbridge LED cabinet fittings without requiring additional wiring or terminals.

Designed for kitchen worktop lighting, display cabinet installations and office desk lighting where LED fittings are spaced 30-50cm apart, the cord eliminates the need to run separate mains cables to each individual fitting. The 50cm length suits typical kitchen wall unit spacing where two or three fittings are installed along a continuous run of base or wall cabinets. The white finish blends into painted cabinet undersides and matches the housing colour of most white LED linkable fittings.

The twin-core construction carries both live and neutral connections inside a single moulded white PVC sheath, keeping cable runs tidy and minimising visible wiring under cabinets. The connectors at each end are keyed to prevent reverse insertion and are moulded with strain relief at the cable entry point to prevent damage during installation or adjustment. The 50cm length is fixed and cannot be extended or shortened without cutting and re-terminating the cable.

The UC500 is designed for Knightsbridge linkable LED under-cabinet fittings with matching white moulded connectors. Check the fitting's datasheet or product page to confirm compatibility before ordering.

Can the cord be cut to a shorter length?

The cord is supplied as a fixed 50cm length with pre-moulded connectors. Cutting the cable would require re-terminating with compatible connectors, which is not recommended for most users. For shorter runs, Knightsbridge produces a 25cm version (UC250).

Does it carry mains voltage or low voltage?

The UC500 carries 230V 50Hz mains power. It is not a low-voltage cable and should be installed by someone competent in mains wiring. The cable should not be run through areas where it could be damaged or come into contact with water.

How is it installed?

The connectors clip directly into the input and output ports on compatible LED fittings. No additional wiring, screwdrivers or terminals are needed. Once clipped in, the connectors lock into place with a light snap.
