Description

The Lika Slim Square is a small square recessed downlight in white die-cast aluminium, a compact 65mm aperture that sets flush into a ceiling and sends a single directed beam straight down. The LED sits deep behind a shiny black reflector, so the source stays out of direct view and the light reads as a clean square-framed pool below. The tight square face gives a more geometric, deliberate look on the ceiling than a round downlight, and the white body lets it settle quietly against a pale plaster ceiling.

The LED is built in and gives 1050 lumens through a 32-degree beam, a focused pool with a little more spread and output than the smaller 8W spotlights, enough to light a worktop, a picture or a reading spot cleanly. Colour is a warm 3000K with a colour rendering above 90, so tones stay true and the light feels soft. The deep black reflector keeps glare low, and a grid of them makes a neat repeated pattern across a ceiling.

The body is painted die-cast aluminium in white with a shiny black polycarbonate reflector, rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms. The driver is built in and included, and the compact square body recesses into plasterboard. We supply it complete, with the LED and driver in place and nothing to wire beyond the mains feed.

Is there a bulb to fit?

No. The LED is built into the body with the driver included, rated for around 50,000 hours, so the downlight arrives ready to wire with no lamp to add or replace in normal use.

Where does it suit?

It suits a worktop, a picture or a reading spot, singly or in a grid across a ceiling. The compact 65mm square body recesses flush and needs about 65mm of depth, so a shallow void is enough.
