Description

The Knightsbridge LFCFIX12 is a two-piece IP67-rated end cap set for 12mm wide LED flex strips, providing a sealed termination for both the front (wired) and rear (non-wired) ends of CCT and RGB LED flex installations. Each cap is moulded from translucent silicone with internal ribs that grip the flex strip and create a moisture-tight seal when pressed into place.

Designed for outdoor LED flex installations where the flex ends are exposed to weather, condensation or water spray, the IP67 rating protects against dust ingress and temporary immersion up to 1m depth for 30 minutes. The caps are used in architectural fascia lighting, garden path lighting, deck perimeter lighting and similar applications where LED flex runs terminate in exposed positions rather than being concealed inside channels or housings.

The front cap includes a moulded cable exit notch that allows the flex's power cable to pass through while maintaining the seal around the strip itself. The rear end cap is solid and closes the non-wired end completely. Both caps fit snugly onto 12mm flex without adhesive or additional clamps, relying on the internal rib structure to hold position once pushed into place. The translucent silicone allows some light to pass through the cap, reducing the hard visual cutoff at the flex end.

Frequently Asked

What LED flex does this fit?

The LFCFIX12 fits 12mm wide IP67-rated LED flex strips in both CCT (tunable white) and RGB (colour-changing) formats. It will not fit 8mm or 10mm flex widths — separate cap sizes exist for those.

Does it require adhesive or sealant?

No. The internal ribs inside each cap grip the flex strip and create a seal when the cap is pushed into place. Additional sealant can be used for extra security in fully submerged installations, but is not required for typical outdoor IP67 compliance.

Can it be used indoors?

Yes. While designed for outdoor moisture protection, the caps work equally well indoors to give a clean finish to LED flex terminations and prevent dust or debris entering the flex strip at cut ends.

What's the difference between the front and end cap?

The front cap has a moulded notch allowing the flex's power cable to exit while sealing around the strip. The end cap is solid and fully closes the rear (non-wired) end of the flex run.
