Description

The Knightsbridge LFC IP67 front and end cap is a silicone sealing accessory designed for 10mm single-colour IP67-rated LED flex. The cap fits over the cut end of the flex strip or over the front termination point, sealing the exposed circuitry and maintaining the IP67 water resistance rating of the installation.

Used in outdoor installations, bathroom lighting, garden feature lighting, and anywhere the LED flex terminates in an exposed position, the cap prevents moisture ingress at the most vulnerable point in the run. The 10mm sizing corresponds to the width of the flex PCB, not the overall silicone sleeve width. Each pack includes one front cap and one end cap, allowing both ends of a flex run to be sealed.

The translucent silicone material compresses onto the flex strip without adhesive or heat-shrink, creating a friction seal that grips the outer silicone sleeve of the flex itself. Installation requires no tools: push the cap onto the cut end of the flex until it sits flush against the last LED or solder point. The material remains flexible down to -20°C and does not degrade under UV exposure in outdoor installations.

Will this fit other widths of LED flex?

No. The 10mm cap is sized specifically for 10mm-width single-colour IP67 LED flex. Knightsbridge produces separate cap sizes for 8mm and 12mm flex — check the product code matches your flex width before ordering.

How is the cap fitted?

Push the open end of the silicone cap over the cut end of the flex strip until it sits flush against the last LED or solder point. The cap grips the outer silicone sleeve of the flex through friction — no adhesive or heat application is required.

Does it maintain the IP67 rating?

Yes. When correctly fitted over a cleanly-cut flex end, the cap maintains the IP67 rating of the installation, protecting against water ingress during temporary immersion up to 1m depth.

Can it be removed and reused?

Yes. The silicone cap can be pulled off the flex end and refitted multiple times without damaging either the cap or the flex strip, making it suitable for installations that may need future reconfiguration.
