Description
This is an outdoor cushion with a painterly lemon design, printed on both faces in different ways. One side shows bright yellow lemons hanging from a leafy branch against a ground of blue and pale lilac vertical stripes; turn it over and you get an abstract geometric print, a soft blue and lilac chequerboard framed by a wavy green scalloped line. It is made from 100% polyester and measures 43 x 43cm, a standard square that fits the most common cushion pads and works on a chair, a bench or a garden sofa.
It is built for outside. The fabric is UV and water resistant, which means it is designed to cope with strong sunshine, a passing shower and the odd spill without the colour giving up or the cloth soaking through. That makes it a good fit for a patio chair, a garden bench, a balcony seat or a bright windowsill spot indoors where the sun lands hardest. The blue and yellow palette leans Mediterranean and summery, so it sits happily with pale timber, grey rope furniture and painted metal, and the two-sided print means you can flip between the fruit and the geometric to change the mood without buying a second cushion.
Construction is straightforward and honest: a standard knife edge, where the seams meet cleanly at the corners rather than being piped or flanged, and a hidden zip so the cover can come off the pad. Polyester is quick to shed water and slow to fade, which is exactly why it earns its place outdoors rather than a natural fibre that would hold damp. It is designed, printed and made in the UK. If you want to build out the look, there is a wider Lemons range, including matching tableware, for a coordinated summer table and seating scheme.

Frequently Asked
Can this cushion stay outside?
It is made from UV and water resistant polyester, so it is designed to cope with sunshine, showers and spills. We would still bring it in over winter to get the longest life from it.
What size pad does it take?
The cover measures 43 x 43cm, so a standard 43cm square pad suits it. Choosing a pad the same size or very slightly larger gives a fuller, plumper finish.
Is the cover removable?
Yes. There is a hidden zip along one edge, so you can take the cover off the pad. The zip is tucked into the seam so it stays out of sight.
Is the design the same on both sides?
No. One face carries the yellow lemons on a striped ground and the reverse is an abstract geometric print, so you can turn it over to change the look.
What does the knife edge mean?
It is the simplest cushion finish, where the front and back panels meet in a clean seam at the corners with no piping or flange. It gives a neat, unfussy square.
What colours will it suit?
The blue, lilac and yellow palette is fresh and summery, so it works well with pale timber, grey rope or metal furniture and other bright, sunny accents.
