Description

The Knightsbridge SL6USBMB is a 492mm LED shaver light built around a matt black polycarbonate housing with an integrated dual-voltage shaver socket, two concealed USB charging ports (5V DC 2.4A shared), and a 6W S15 LED tube producing 450lm at 3000K warm white. A pull cord on the side of the unit allows the light to be switched independently of the shaver socket and USB ports.

Designed for bathroom zones where direct splash contact does not occur (IP20-rated, suitable for Zone 3 or outside zones), the fitting is typically installed above mirrors in cloakrooms, en-suites and main bathrooms where shaving and phone charging are done near the sink but not inside the shower enclosure. The dual-voltage shaver socket accepts both 115V and 230V shavers. The USB ports remain live when the light is switched off, so devices can charge overnight without illumination.

The prismatic diffuser spreads the 6W LED output evenly across the 492mm width, reducing glare and providing functional task light for grooming without harsh shadows. The matt black finish hides fingerprints and water spots better than gloss alternatives, and pairs cleanly with black taps, black-framed mirrors and contemporary monochrome bathroom schemes. At 70mm projection and 60mm height the unit sits close to the wall, keeping clear space above countertops and sinks.

The S15 LED tube is user-replaceable and rated for 25,000 hours at L70B50 (the point at which 50% of fittings have depreciated to 70% of initial lumens). The fitting is Class II double-insulated, so does not require an earth connection during installation.

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is not splash-proof and must be installed in Zone 3 or outside bathroom zones where direct water contact does not occur. It is typically fitted above a mirror outside the shower enclosure.
