This flip alarm clock pairs a black plastic band with a frosted clear plastic shade, and it does two jobs in one small round body. Rest it on its sloping side and the round LCD face sits uppermost, showing the time in crisp white digits. Stand it upright on its black base and the frosted shade glows, turning the clock into a light for the bedside. It is 9cm tall and 8cm across, so it takes up very little room wherever it goes.
