Description

The Lauro is a slim LED floor lamp in black, with a round, flat head at the end of a flexible gooseneck arm, set on a tall stem that rises from a round base. It stands 132cm tall and 45cm long, and the base is 21cm across, so it needs very little floor space. The LED is integrated, drawing 5.5W and giving 600 lumens, which means there is never a bulb to buy or change. Its IP20 rating settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms, well away from water.

Because the gooseneck bends, you can aim the light exactly where it is needed. Set it beside a sofa or an armchair and angle the head down towards a book, or stand it next to a desk and point it at the work in front of you. The narrow stem and small base let it slip into a corner or between pieces of furniture where a bulkier lamp would crowd the room. It suits reading corners, living rooms, bedrooms and home offices, and anyone who wants focused light close to hand rather than relying on a ceiling light alone.

A touch dimmer gives three steps of brightness, and the colour temperature changes between 2700K, 4000K and 6500K. That gives you a warm 2700K glow for winding down in the evening, a neutral 4000K white for everyday tasks and a crisp, cool 6500K light for close work or fine print. The body is black plastic, and plastic is a light material, so the lamp is easy to move whenever you rearrange a room; it weighs 2.556KG packed.
