Description

The Lasmessa is a single wall spotlight with a cylindrical shade in black nickel, picked out with bright chrome accents on the neck and the arm. It sits on a rectangular steel backplate 16.5cm long and 7cm wide, and stands 10.6cm out from the wall, so it fits neatly beside a shelf, a mirror or a doorway without crowding the space. It takes a GU10 bulb and is rated at 4.6W with an output of 400 lumens, enough for a focused pool of light across a desk or a picture. With an IP20 rating it belongs indoors in a dry room, away from bathrooms and splashing water.

Because the shade is mounted on a jointed arm, you can angle the beam where it is needed: down onto a desk for reading and paperwork, across a bookcase to bring the spines forward, or onto a favourite print in a hallway. It works well in a study, a bedroom as a bedside reading light, or a living room where a ceiling light alone leaves the corners flat. The black nickel has a deep, glossy sheen that sits comfortably beside both dark and pale walls, and the chrome details keep it bright and crisp.

The body is steel, finished in black nickel with polished chrome details. A rocker switch sits on the side of the backplate, so the light can be turned off and on at the fitting itself, handy for a bedside or a desk where a wall switch would mean leaving the chair.
