Description
The Lasmessa is a single spotlight in chrome and white: a white steel cylinder with a polished chrome band, held on a short jointed arm in front of a rectangular white backplate edged in chrome. It measures 16.5cm long and 7cm wide, and it stands 10.6cm proud of the ceiling or wall, so it stays neat and compact overhead. It takes a GU10 bulb, rated at 4.6W and giving 400lm. Its IP rating is IP20, which settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms only, away from bathrooms and kitchen splash zones.
Because the head sits on a jointed arm, you can tilt it to point the light where it is needed, which makes it a good choice for picking out a picture, lighting a reading chair or brightening a dark corner of a hallway. It works on a ceiling or a wall, so it suits a living room, a bedroom, a study or a landing. The clean white and chrome finish sits quietly against pale walls and pairs well with both modern and simpler, classic schemes. A rocker switch on the backplate lets you turn it on and off at the light itself, which is handy beside a bed or a desk.
The body is steel, a sturdy material that holds its shape well, finished in white with chrome detailing on the frame, the arm and the band around the head. It runs on a 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains supply and carries an energy class of F. Like any light wired into the mains, it should be installed by a qualified electrician. The installation instructions come as a download. Once it is fitted, a quick turn of the head is all it takes to move the light wherever you want it.
