Description

The Laconella-E is an LED outdoor wall light with a gentle curve: a slim arm sweeps up and out from a square black wall block, and its inner face is a white plastic diffuser capped with a black edge. The body is black plastic and steel, and the light stands 18cm tall, reaches 19cm out from the wall and measures 7cm in length. Its integrated LED gives 1,200 lumens at 3000K, a warm white, from 11.5W. The IP44 rating settles where it can go: it is protected from splashing water, so it can live outdoors on a house wall in all seasons.

We think it suits a front door, a porch, a side passage or the wall beside a patio, where a warm white light makes the way in feel welcoming after dark. Corner mounting is possible, so it can also be fitted on the corner of a building when a flat stretch of wall is not available. At IP44 it may be suggested for a bathroom too, and a qualified electrician will confirm the right zone. The clean black and white lines sit comfortably against render, painted brick or timber cladding, which makes it an easy match for a modern home.

It runs from mains power at 220-240V, 50/60Hz, has no switch of its own and is switched at the wall. It is not dimmable, so it gives the same steady warm white each time the wall switch is used, and it carries an energy class of F.
