Description

The Kopus is an 8-light linear suspension fitting with eight frosted glass tubes mounted on a polished chrome frame, each housing a G9 bulb. The 640mm-long frame runs parallel to the surface below, making it suited to kitchen islands, dining tables and breakfast bars where linear light distribution is needed. Eight G9 bulbs (included) provide up to 320W total output when used with 40W halogen capsules, though most installations now use 3-5W LED G9 equivalents for lower running costs.

Designed for ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the suspension cables allow adjustment from 100mm minimum drop to 1030mm maximum drop, letting the fitting be positioned 650-750mm above a worktop or 700-850mm above a dining table depending on the room. The frosted glass tubes diffuse the light sideways and downwards, softening direct glare while still providing enough task light for food preparation or dining. The polished chrome reflects surrounding light and pairs with stainless steel appliances, chrome taps and contemporary kitchens.

Each frosted glass tube is cylindrical with an open top where the chrome fitting passes through, and the tubes hang vertically from the linear frame. The frame itself is a clean horizontal bar with minimal projection, keeping visual weight low despite the eight-light count. The fitting weighs 2.9kg installed and requires a ceiling rose capable of supporting that load plus the weight of the suspension cables.
