This is a four-blade ceiling fan with its own light, finished in matt black and fitted with a white painted glass shade at the centre. The body is steel, and the whole fitting measures 106.6cm in diameter and 42cm high. The light takes a single E27 bulb of up to 60W, which is not included, so you can choose the colour and warmth of light you prefer. It is rated IP20, which settles where it can go: indoors, in dry rooms, and never in a bathroom or a garden.

Hang it in a bedroom, living room, dining room or home office, wherever you want a breeze on warm days and a ceiling light from one fitting. Because the fan and the light share one fitting, you gain both without giving up the centre of the ceiling to two separate pieces. The matt black finish suits monochrome schemes, dark metal hardware and industrial interiors, while the white shade adds a bright, softly diffused centre whenever the bulb is lit. Against a pale ceiling, the dark blades make a crisp, graphic outline.

The fan runs at three speeds and is reversible, and it is switched by cord: two pull chains hang beside the shade, so everything is worked from the fitting itself. The light is not dimmable, so it gives one steady level of light from whichever bulb you fit. Look closely and you will see a slim downrod running from the ceiling canopy to the motor housing, and a pierced collar trimming the top of the shade. It weighs 4.5KG packed. As a mains fitting wired into the ceiling, it should be installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download.
