Description
The Koala on a base is a small outdoor spotlight that bolts to a wall, soffit or floor, so it fixes to a solid surface rather than planting into a bed. The head throws a 35 degree cone of warm 3000K light, tight enough to graze brickwork, wash a section of facade or accent an architectural feature. Lit, it reads as a controlled pool of warm light; off, the compact black body sits close to its base and keeps a low profile against the wall.
Its integrated LED runs at 7W for about 630 lumens, with a colour rendering above 90 so brick, render and stone keep their true colour after dark. The head tilts and turns on the base to set the aim, so one fixing point can be angled up a wall or down over a step, which suits an entrance, a garden wall or a run of facade where the fitting stays put.
The body is powder-coated die-cast aluminium in black with a clear tempered-glass diffuser, and the fitting is rated IP65 for full exposure to rain. The LED module is built in and rated to 35,000 hours, so there is no bulb to fit or replace. We supply it with the fixing base ready to mount on a suitable outdoor supply.
