Description
The Koala spike is a small outdoor spotlight on a ground stake, so it pushes straight into a bed or lawn and aims a directed beam wherever it is planted. The head throws a 35 degree cone of warm 3000K light, tight enough to graze a wall, uplight a tree trunk or pick out a shrub rather than flood the whole garden. Lit, it reads as a single controlled pool of warm light; off, the compact black body sits low among planting and stays discreet.
Its integrated LED runs at 7W for about 630 lumens, with a colour rendering above 90 so bark, foliage and stone keep their natural colour after dark. The head tilts on the stake to set the angle, and being spiked rather than fixed it can be repositioned as a border grows or a scheme changes, which suits path edges, planted beds and specimen trees.
The body is powder-coated die-cast aluminium in black with a clear tempered-glass diffuser, and the fitting is rated IP65 for full exposure to rain. The LED module is built in and rated to 35,000 hours, so there is no bulb to fit or replace. We supply it with the ground spike ready to install on a suitable outdoor supply.

Frequently Asked
What kind of light does the Koala spike give?
One adjustable beam of warm 3000K light at about 630 lumens across a 35 degree spread, with colour rendering above 90. It is aimed rather than floody, so it uplights a tree, grazes a wall or picks out a shrub.
How does it fix in the garden?
On a ground spike that pushes into a bed or lawn, so it needs no base or bracket. The head tilts to set the angle, and you can lift and move it as planting grows or the scheme changes.
Is it suitable for full outdoor exposure?
Yes, it is rated IP65 in powder-coated die-cast aluminium with a tempered-glass diffuser, so it withstands rain in an open bed or border. It runs from a suitable outdoor mains supply.
Does it use a bulb?
No, the LED is built in and rated to 35,000 hours, so there is nothing to fit or replace. It arrives with the spike ready to plant and wire.
