Knot II LED Semi-Flush Ceiling Light 60W 3000K - Polished Chrome

The Knot II is a 790mm semi-flush ceiling light with five interconnected looping arms made from opal white acrylic, radiating from a polished chrome central hub. Each arm houses integrated LED strips that emit 4500 lumens at 3000K warm white light, turning the acrylic itself into a glowing sculptural form. The 265mm projection from the ceiling gives the fitting dimensional presence without requiring the drop of a pendant.

Designed for living rooms, open-plan kitchen-diners and contemporary entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Knot II provides both ambient room lighting and a decorative focal point. The 120° beam angle ensures even light spread across the ceiling plane and down into the room, while the opal acrylic diffuses the LED strips so there are no visible hotspots or glare when viewed from below. The polished chrome base and mounting plate fit standard UK ceiling roses.

The looping geometry creates different visual profiles depending on the angle of view — from directly below it reads as a symmetrical five-arm star, while from an oblique angle the depth and overlap of the loops become apparent. The opal acrylic finish scatters light internally, creating a soft glow along the full length of each arm rather than concentrating brightness at any single point. The combined chrome and acrylic construction gives the fitting a 3.9kg weight, so ceiling mounting must be into a joist or use cavity fixings rated for the load.

The Knot II is part of Mantra's Spanish-designed contemporary collection and represents the larger version of the range — a 600mm diameter variant is also available. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and rated at 60W total power consumption across the five arms. The 100-240V universal voltage input allows the fitting to be used in export markets as well as UK installations.

Is the Knot II dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is rated at 60W and outputs 4500 lumens at a fixed brightness. It is not compatible with dimmer switches.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 265mm projection from the ceiling means the fitting works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. Lower ceilings may still accommodate the Knot II depending on room proportions, but the fitting will be more visually dominant.

What's the light output compared to traditional bulbs?

4500 lumens at 3000K is roughly equivalent to five 75W incandescent bulbs or five 11-12W LED bulbs. This output suits main room lighting in spaces up to approximately 20-25 square metres.

How is the fitting mounted?

The polished chrome base plate mounts to a standard UK ceiling rose. The 3.9kg weight requires secure fixing into a ceiling joist or the use of cavity fixings rated for the load. The acrylic arms are fixed to the base and do not require assembly after mounting.
