Description

This Knightsbridge grid switch cover is a replacement rocker module pre-printed with 'Waste Disposal' in white text on an anthracite ABS face. It clips onto standard Knightsbridge grid switch mechanisms, allowing existing unmarked or differently-labelled rockers to be swapped out without rewiring the back plate or grid frame.

Designed for use in kitchens and utility rooms where multiple appliances are controlled from a dedicated grid switch bank, the labelled cover prevents accidental switching of the waste disposal unit when reaching for an adjacent switch. The anthracite finish coordinates with Knightsbridge's anthracite metal grid plates and with slate, graphite and dark grey worktop and wall finishes common in contemporary kitchens.

The rocker measures 33mm high by 16mm wide with a 6.8mm projection from the grid plate once clipped in. The ABS and steel construction carries an IP20 rating and a 25-year warranty from Knightsbridge. The cover is a mechanical component only — the underlying switch mechanism (sold separately) determines the electrical rating and switching function.

Is this compatible with all Knightsbridge grid switches?

Yes. The cover fits all standard Knightsbridge grid rocker modules. It clips onto the mechanism without tools and can be removed and replaced as needed.

Does this include the switch mechanism?

No. This is the rocker cover only. The underlying switch mechanism (the electrical component that controls the circuit) is sold separately. If you are building a new grid switch installation, you will need to purchase the grid plate, grid modules, and covers separately.

What other appliance labels are available?
