Description

The Knightsbridge grid switch cover is a replacement rocker marked 'Fridge Freezer' in polished chrome, designed to clip onto compatible Knightsbridge grid switches. The marking is pre-printed onto the ABS and steel rocker surface, identifying which appliance or circuit the switch controls without needing separate labelling.

Used in domestic and commercial kitchens where fridge-freezers are hard-wired to dedicated circuits with a local isolator switch, the marked rocker makes it clear which switch controls which appliance. This is particularly useful in shared kitchens, hospitality settings, or utility rooms with multiple appliances on separate switches. The rocker clips onto the existing grid switch mechanism, replacing the blank or existing marked rocker without needing to rewire or replace the entire switch module.

The polished chrome finish matches Knightsbridge's polished chrome grid switch range, maintaining a consistent metallic appearance across a multi-gang grid plate. The rocker measures 33mm high by 16mm wide with a 6.8mm projection from the switch face once clipped in place. This rocker cover fits Knightsbridge's modular grid switch range. It clips onto the grid switch mechanism module and requires a compatible grid plate and back box assembly. Check that your existing grid system is Knightsbridge before ordering.

Can the marking be removed or changed?

No. The 'Fridge Freezer' marking is pre-printed onto the rocker surface and cannot be removed. To change the marking, replace the entire rocker with a different pre-printed variant from Knightsbridge's marked rocker range.

Is the rocker sold individually or as part of a switch?

The rocker is sold individually as a replacement component. It does not include the grid switch mechanism, grid plate or back box — those must be purchased separately if you are building a new grid switch assembly from scratch.
