Description

The Knightsbridge grid switch cover is a replacement rocker marked 'COOKER HOOD' in raised lettering on a smoked bronze finish. Designed for modular grid switch systems, the cover clips onto a standard grid switch module to replace a blank rocker or re-label an existing switch. The smoked bronze finish provides a dark metallic tone that sits between graphite and antique brass.

Grid switch systems allow individual switch modules to be assembled behind a shared faceplate, commonly used in kitchens where multiple appliances (cooker hood, dishwasher, washing machine, hob) need individual isolation switches grouped in one location. This pre-marked cover eliminates the need for adhesive labels or handwritten tags, giving a permanent designation that won't fade or peel over time.

The rocker is moulded from ABS plastic with a steel internal spring mechanism, measuring 33mm high by 16mm wide with a 6.8mm projection from the grid plate once installed. The IP20 rating confirms it's suitable for dry indoor locations such as kitchen walls above worktops. The smoked bronze finish coordinates with Knightsbridge's matching grid plates, sockets and faceplates in the same finish family.

Is this compatible with all grid switch systems?

This cover is designed for Knightsbridge modular grid switch systems. It clips onto standard Knightsbridge grid switch modules and is not guaranteed to fit other manufacturers' grid systems due to variations in rocker retention mechanisms.

Can the rocker be removed and refitted?

Yes. The rocker clips onto the switch module and can be pulled off and replaced without tools, allowing you to swap designations if appliances are moved or kitchen layouts change.

What other appliance markings are available?
